1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using maidinfo.sg ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. By clicking the WhatsApp button on any page, or by logging in via Facebook, Google, or any other social login provider, you explicitly accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of the Platform
maidinfo.sg is an information aggregation platform. We do not operate a maid agency, and we do not employ or place domestic helpers directly.
- Maid profiles displayed on the Platform are sourced from registered maid agencies. Each profile clearly identifies the agency it belongs to. A profile appearing while you view another agency's listing does not imply any affiliation or endorsement between agencies.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any maid profile, agency listing, or pricing information. You must verify all details directly with the relevant agency before making any hiring decision.
- All agency information is compiled from publicly available online sources. Fun Byte Technology Pte. Ltd. makes no warranty as to its accuracy and is not liable for any loss, cost, or damage arising from reliance on inaccurate data.
3. Chatbot and AI-Assisted Search
Our Platform provides an AI-powered chatbot ("maidinfo Chatbot") to help you search for and learn about domestic helper profiles listed on the Platform.
- Data Processing: Your conversation with the chatbot, including any personal information you share, is transmitted to and processed by third-party large language model (LLM) providers for the purpose of generating responses and recommendations.
- Information Sharing: To help you obtain further information from agencies whose profiles appear on the Platform, we may, with your consent, share part of your conversation and your contact information (including WhatsApp number and email) with those agencies so they may respond to your enquiry. By using the chatbot, you consent to this sharing. We do not refer, match, or place you with any agency or domestic helper.
- No Guarantee: Search results and information provided by the chatbot are algorithmically generated and do not constitute professional or employment advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information displayed.
4. Communications Consent
Service-related communications: By performing any of the following actions, you consent to being contacted by Fun Byte Technology Pte. Ltd. and our partner maid agencies via WhatsApp and/or email for service-related communications and follow-ups directly related to your inquiry:
- Clicking any WhatsApp button on the Platform
- Submitting any form or inquiry on the Platform
- Using the maidinfo Chatbot
Marketing communications: Logging in or registering via Facebook, Google, or any other social login provider constitutes consent to service delivery only, not marketing. We will only contact you for marketing purposes if you have separately and explicitly opted in to marketing communications (e.g., via a sign-up checkbox or confirmation email). You may withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting your ability to use the Platform.
You may withdraw any consent at any time by contacting us at support@maidinfo.sg. Note that withdrawal of service-related consent may limit your ability to use certain features of the Platform.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law:
- Maid Profile Accuracy: We are not liable for any inaccurate, outdated, or misleading maid profile information. Users are advised to independently verify all details with the respective agency.
- Agency Information: All agency details are aggregated from public sources. We bear no liability for inaccuracies or omissions, nor for any cost, loss, or damage arising from reliance on such information.
- Security Incidents: In the event of a data breach caused by a sophisticated unauthorised third-party attack (e.g., cyberattack or hacking) that occurs despite our implementation of reasonable security measures, our liability for resulting loss shall be limited to the extent permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. We implement commercially reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Indirect Losses: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed SGD 50. As maidinfo.sg is a free platform and no fees are charged to users, this represents the maximum cap on our liability.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and all content, features, and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data without our written consent
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Impersonate any person, agency, or entity
- Transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious code
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its servers
- Circumvent any security or access-control measures
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Singapore law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice for any violation of this section.
8. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 6, 10, and 12) shall continue to apply.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fun Byte Technology Pte. Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) any content you submit or share via the Platform in violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights. This indemnification does not apply to claims arising solely from your ordinary access to or use of the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
10. Third-Party Agencies
The Platform displays information about and provides links to third-party maid agencies. These agencies operate independently. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, their practices, fees, representations, or conduct. We do not refer, introduce, match, or place users with any agency or domestic helper.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on maidinfo.sg, including text, design, logos, and software, is the property of Fun Byte Technology Pte. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use any content without our prior written permission.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. In the event of any dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve it in good faith through direct negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
13. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather events, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, internet or telecommunications outages, cyberattacks, or third-party service failures.
14. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fun Byte Technology Pte. Ltd. regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
For material changes — including changes that expand how we use your personal data, introduce new categories of data sharing, or significantly alter your rights — we will provide advance notice via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Where required by the PDPA or applicable law, we will seek your active re-confirmation before such changes take effect.
16. Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you must not use the Platform or provide any personal information to us.
